The Bridgeton Area Service Clubs, including the Chamber of Commerce, are promoting the Karaoke Night and Tribute to Harold Gould on Friday, November 11 at Centerton Country Club. Proceeds will be given to Bridgeton Main Street Association and Bridgeton Police Athletic League, two organizations that are working to make Bridgeton better. Harold Gould will be honored for his years as a Negro League baseball star during the period before African American players were allowed in Major League Baseball. The Philadelphia Phillies organization is supporting this tribute and event and will have well-known past and current Phillies in attendance. Tickets are $50 per person but if we put together one or more tables of ten, we can get a table of 10 for $450, saving each person $5. Call or email the Chamber office if you'd like to be a part of a Chamber table of ten or to buy your individual tickets. 455-12-1312 or bacc@baccnj.com.
If you value and appreciate the historic buildings in Bridgeton or just support efforts to make Bridgeton better, you are invited to the first annual Bridgeton Historic Preservation Awards. See the attached flyer for more information.
County and Three Chambers Team Up for Economic Development Breakfast and Business Expo The Bridgeton Area, Greater Millville and Greater Vineland Chambers of Commerce partnered with the County of Cumberland and several sponsors to present a special business event at Cumberland County College on Oct. 20. Hundreds of business people, government officials and the public attended. It was a great success thanks to the leadership of the Greater Vineland Chamber, Dawn Hunter and staff, Kim Wood and staff, Christy DiLeonardo and Kathy Farinaccio. They did an amazing job and did most of the work. The event helped promote the Chambers and area businesses, provided a forum for the County and provided good useful information and an upbeat message for businesses in our communities.
Bruce Riley, pictured above as one of the businesses spotlighted at the Tri-Chamber - Cumberland County Business Expo, has accepted appointment to the Bridgeton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Bruce, Debby and employees were recognized at the Chamber annual awards dinner for their leadership of the area's official Sept. 11 Commemoration. We welcome Bruce to the Board. He is filling the unexpired term of the late Diane Rizzo Lodge.
